The Overworld (Level 0) is the spawning area for the player and the first area of Minicraft. It is considered to be above ground. There is a day-night cycle here, and it is the only possible spawn location for the player upon world generation.

Access

The player spawns here upon world generation, and will respawn at their original spawn point upon death if the player has not slept in a bed or the player's bed has been picked up or destroyed.

Using an Escape Potion or walking into an upwards staircase in the underground (Level B1) will send you back to the Overworld.

Falling off a cloud or going down a staircase in the Sky World (Level 1) will send you back to the Overworld.

Features

Abundant features of the land include Trees, Grass, Sand, Stone, and Water. Scattered throughout the land are Staircases that can lead either to the Underground (Level B1) or the Sky World (Level 1), although the stairs leading into the Sky World are blocked by Hard Rock. Possible Biomes for this area include Sand, Stone, Forest, and Ocean. Scattered around the Overworld are ruined houses, which may contain chests with items inside. The maximum number of mobs for this area is 200, and the normal tick rate is 60 ticks per second.

In Minicraft+, worlds you create can be bigger, and the world's theme and terrain type can be changed.

Mobs

Passive mobs such as Sheep, Pigs, and Cows can spawn in the Overworld at any time. Green Zombies and Green Slimes can appear at night, although they are significantly more common underground.

Prior to version 1.1.0, the Air Wizard II would spawn in the Overworld after the player found all the dungeon chests in the dungeon level.
